DAY 1 – MARCH 13th - LEGACY TALKS BUSINESS MIXER

The L.E.G.A.C.Y. Talks Business Mixer is an exclusive networking event for ambitious professionals and entrepreneurs. The evening features a dynamic panel discussion, an intimate fireside chat, and high-value networking. Attendees will gain valuable insights, connect with industry leaders, and be inspired by impactful conversations on business, leadership, and legacy-building. 

What to Expect: Powerful Panel Discussion, Music & Networking, Light Bites & Cocktails, and an interview with a top business leader.

Event Time: 5:30 – 9:30 p.m.

Conversation Starts: 7:00 p.m.

DAY 2 – MARCH 14th - LEGACY AWARDS GALA

The signature event of the L.E.G.A.C.Y. Awards Weekend, held at the historic Old Post Office.

Event Time: 6:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m.

Reception: 6:00 – 7:45 p.m.

Doors Open: 7:15 p.m.

Awards Ceremony: 8:00 p.m.

After-Party: 10:00 p.m.

Location: Old Post Office located at 433 W Van Buren Street, Chicago

Parking Details:

• Valet – $30 per car

• Self-Parking – 519 S Clinton St or 400 S Franklin St

Dress Code: Black Tie, Formal Attire, or Formal African Attire

DAY 3 – MARCH 15th - LEGACY SUNDAY TAKEOVER BRUNCH

A stylish close to the weekend — curated brunch, conversations, and celebration.

Event Time: 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Dress Code: Brunch Chic

Legacy Talks Business Mixer (March 13th): Business or Cocktail Attire. No gym shoes or jeans recommended.

Legacy Awards Gala (March 14th): Black Tie, Formal Attire, or Formal African Attire. No gym shoes or jeans permitted.



Legacy Sunday Takeover Brunch (March 15th): Brunch chic. No baseball caps, sheer tops or bottoms, shorts or skirts above fingertip length, sweatsuits, hoodies, or ski masks.

Legacy Talks Business Mixer: 5:30 p.m. (Conversation begins 7:00 p.m.) – March 13th

Legacy Awards Gala: 6:00 p.m. – March 14th


Legacy Sunday Takeover Brunch: 11:00 a.m. – March 15th

Meals are included only at the Awards Gala and served while supplies last.

Brunch tickets include the curated brunch experience.


The Mixer includes light bites and cocktails.

Doors and food service open at 6:00 p.m.

Early arrival is suggested.


Food is available until it is exhausted

Yes. Children are welcome, but a general ticket must be purchased for anyone 10 years and older.

Volunteers stationed at the entrance will guide you to the appropriate check-in area and your table. Table signage will also be displayed.



The VIP Reception is located in the hallway beyond the brown doors in Room A.

Restrooms are located in the hallway to your left near the brown doors.

Volunteers will escort you to your assigned seat.

Photographers will be moving throughout the event and will let honorees know when they’re needed. Guests are welcome to take photos at any time unless otherwise noted.

The After-Party takes place in the main lobby from 10:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.

Complimentary water, tea, and punch are available.

Liquor is available for purchase.



Food and drink vendors are located in the lobby and open from 5:30–7:30 p.m., then reopen at 9:00 p.m. until supplies run out.

Yes. Drinks are $7 each or $10 for two.

All sales are final. Tickets may be transferred to another guest by contacting the event team prior to the event date.

Yes. All venues are ADA accessible. If you need additional assistance, please let a volunteer know upon arrival.
